About Sureka
Building the commercial infrastructure for sugar reduction.
Sureka AB is a Swedish company rooted in ingredient science and food-industry commercialisation. We bring together ingredient solutions, market access, product communication and consumer experiences—with one purpose: helping our customers succeed by serving their customers better.
Our foundation
Rooted in science. Connected through technology.

Sugar does more than sweeten. It contributes to texture, volume, stability and production performance. Reducing it requires an understanding of how ingredients work together, within the practical demands of manufacturing.
Sureka brings ingredient science into application-specific solutions. Alongside this, we develop Sureka Protocol—rule-based technology that translates ingredient information into structured explanations of ingredient roles and trade-offs, without ranking products or telling people what to choose.
Why we are building Sureka
Better ingredients need reasons to be adopted.
An ingredient can work technically and still struggle to reach the market. Producers need orders to justify changing formulations. Brands need routes to market. Retailers need products they can explain and sell. Consumers need reasons to choose—and return.
Sureka connects these needs. By bringing scientific capability closer to purchasing decisions and consumer understanding, we give ingredient innovation a stronger commercial path into everyday life.
Our business philosophy
Helping our customers sell more creates reasons to buy more from us.
Sureka earns through ingredient and product sales, including wholesale margins and sales commissions.
Our connected channels, product explanations and consumer experiences help customers reach buyers and communicate product value. When their products sell and need replenishing, this creates opportunities for repeat orders—and further demand for the ingredients and products we supply.
Our commercial interest is in our customers’ continued success.
Our commercial infrastructure
One business. Four connected capabilities.
Sureka Sweet
Develop products.
Ingredient solutions help food producers reduce sugar while addressing taste, texture and production requirements.
Sureka Store (external site)
Reach buyers.
A wholesale marketplace and commercial showroom connects ingredients and finished products with professional buyers. It welcomes products from customers and prospective partners, including brands that do not use Sureka ingredients.
Sureka Protocol (external site)
Build understanding.
Our translation engine helps brands and retailers explain ingredients to different audiences. Product touchpoints connect this understanding with opportunities for customer engagement and rewards.
Your Radiant (external site)
Create reasons to return.
Consumers buy products and experiences from local makers and redeem rewards earned through ingredient understanding. Purchases and redemptions provide insight into consumer interests and demand.
Each capability serves a distinct need and can work independently. Their connections allow product development, sales, understanding and consumer experiences to inform one another.
How we build
Bringing complementary expertise together.
We build through partnerships, integration and our own development—bringing scientific knowledge, practical industry experience, businesses and technology together.
Our focus is on making these capabilities work together around real products, customers and commercial needs.
The Sureka story
Scientific rigour. Commercial discipline. A shared determination.

Professor Yan Li, a food scientist, was clear about the complexity of changing the food industry: one ingredient alone could not transform a sector shaped by food-safety requirements and established commercial structures.
His daughter, Lucy Dahlgren, brought commercial discipline and a personal determination to make change happen. She believed a public-health need could become market demand—if businesses had a reason to act.
Lucy founded Bayn Europe in 2009 and led it to Nasdaq First North in 2014, supported by her father, European professors and industry leaders in developing stevia applications and sugar-replacement solutions.
Their continuing debate shaped the thinking behind Sureka: scientific rigour to establish what works, commercial architecture to make it viable, and a shared purpose that gives progress meaning.
Better Ingredients. Better Choices.
Helping our customers make their customers radiant.
